For sale today is this incredible handwritten diary of a sailor on the USS Tuscaloosa. INcludes two small diaries and a photo of the heavy cruiser. This is the personal diary of Seaman First Class Joseph Paul \"J.P\" Gault (11/27/19 - 5/25/2002). He embarks on the USS Tuscaloosa on October 31st, 1944. The diaries track his day to day activities and the location of the ship through til the end of the war. Both journals are plumb full and legible. IN great condition with some age but no water or mold damage. I havent really dug too deep in this but I can only imagine all the goodies hiding in here. The Tuscaloosa saw action in the European theater and also the South Pacific and was part of the battle at Iwo Jima and Okinawa. She was considered \"blessed\" for how much action she saw and how many battles she survived including kamikaze attacks.
