From the archives of The Robbins Co of Attleboro, MA, this listing is for a steel stamping die used to make 15/16” diameter medals commemorating WWI, The Great War For Civilization. This stamping die was made in November 1967. The die is dated November 1967 on the side and the Robbins Company ledger book (see scan) for this S/N B8703 shows it was made for A. Robert Matt Associates, Inc. at a cost of $300. The die has maximum dimensions approximately 2 7/16” square x 1 ¾” high. The die weighs 3 lb 14 oz and the condition is Excellent.
