1973 Pittsburgh Corning Glass Block Bank MCAA Show Atlanta giveaway small 3 1/4:
$9.99

Pittsburgh Corning has made architectural glass blocks for many decades. Used as a secure but light giving windows.

They are cast in Port Allegany, Pa..

Over the years they have made some novelty items like this bank, they also made flower pots, lights and such using the same hollow block patterns.

This bank is approximately 3 11/4 by 3 1/4 inches and 1 3/4 inches thick.

It has a slot in the top that will take coins or folded bills of any size.

Stenciled on the side is M.C.A.A. SHOW ATLANTA 73 pc.

Handed out by Pitt Corning to people attending the Masonry Contractors Show.

The early banks had no hole in the bottom, so, you inserted a flat blade knife or spatula and shook the coins onto the flat blade and out they came through the slot.
