7 stereoscope cards from 1905 showing the USS Mayflower as the site of the peace talks to end the Russo - Japanese War.President Theodore Roosevelt and the Envoys from Russia and Japan are shown in the pics.Ultimately Roosevelt would win the Nobel Peace Prize for ending the conflict.
One card shows the Mayflower from a distance, 2 show President Roosevelt, and the others show the Envoys.
The cards are by Underwood & Underwood, copyright 1905.They measure apprx 3.5 x 7. Back sides are blank.Excellent condition, see pictures.
