Antique Art Glass Peg Lamp W/ Chimney & Etched Glass Ruffled Shade. Beautiful pink swirl pattern on the glass font. Measures 21.75” to the top of the chimney. The brass candlestick measures 8” tall. The peg font and burner measure 6.75” tall. The shade is 4” tall. The peg portion only has one of the metal pieces that attach to either side of the peg to help it fit snuggly into the candlestick. The chimney has some small chips on both the top and bottom rim. There is a crack in the chimney, running from the bottom rim up to the topof the bell portion of the chimney The shade has one tiny rough spot on the ruffled edge that does not show uo in photos.
Peg lamps were a transitional lamp during the early Victorian era when people were transitioning from using candles for lighting to using kerosene lamps. Peg lamps could be purchased and used with the candlesticks already owned by the consumer.
