Antique Silk quilt very colorful. 59” x 86”:

This antique handmade quilt is a true work of art.

I believe the quilt is made of ties and or handkerchiefs.

The quilted pattern features a crazy quilt design and is made from a mix of strips of materials including crepe, silk, cotton, and possibly taffeta.

The colors are extremely vibrant and varied. The silk makes it colorful but also makes it fragile. I have taken photos of the strips which have degraded with time as well as the back of the quilt and the cotton backing which needs cleaning.

Measuring at 59” x 86”, this quilt top is a great size for use as a bedspread or as a decorative accent.

The 100% cotton fill material provides both comfort and durability.
