It is designed to be used with 78 RPM records and has a hand crank to wind the motor. It is important to note that the platter does not spin when you crank the handle. You can hear something inside there moving but needs full restoration.
This item is being sold as is and as shown in the photos. I believe the metal grill is missing from the interior. It might be possible to restore it or use this one as parts. The case is in pretty good condition overall. It does have some deterioration on the leather handle and otherwise on the corners where there is some abrasion and separation.
