This lovely 18” tall samovar certainly has character and a darling story to go with it. While cleaning, a charming letter detailing the gift of this samovar to an old friend was found inside of it. Dated 1936. This samovar traveled from Tula Russia to an employee of Benjamin Electric New York, then to it’s intended recipient in Wilmette Illinois and then finally Pennsylvania where it landed on my lap. It does have some blemishes and could use a proper polish but it is all intact except for the spout key.
