This is a charming pair of vintage ceramic bookends from Japan, featuring a little boy engrossed in his books. The design is sure to brighten up any bookcase- perfect in a bedroom, nursery, or even in your living room- the traditional style adds a touch of nostalgia. These bookends were made in Japan during the early 1900s and are in their original condition.
There are no chips or cracks, there appears to be some minor paint loss in areas consistent with age. They are quite heavy as they are weighted to hold books so they weigh approximately 2 pounds each.
