For sale is an excitung example of western law enforcement.
Marshal's badge from Mapleton, Utah, early to-to-mid 1900s. I have not seen a sequel from small town Utah in my years of collecting. This badge was located in Spanish Fork, Utah, and pressed by the Salt Lake Stamp Company. It represents a highly sought symbol of the American west and turn of the century western law enforcement.
Most badges of this era, restricted in number, have not survived time.
Badge is missing its pin to connect to the shirt or coat, the remnants of which can be seen the photos. Please see images for further condition.
