For sale is this incredible knife from the Ancient Roman Empire. This piece would be an incredible display piece, and a perfect addition to any collection! The blade is a simplistic design, while the handle is a beautifully made brass work of art. The brass has a formal design to it, suggesting that a piece like this might have been used by the wealthy (possibly by a doctor for sugary, a king or ruler as a common knife, or someone that would have used it daily as part of the trade). The blade is made of iron, and is heavily rusted and pitted from being buried for centuries. This piece has an original ancient blade to it, but has a modern made handle to it. The artist took an authentic ancient Roman blade (discovered in southern Europe with a metal detector), and custom made a bronze handle to go on the end of it. This an incredibly fine piece. Similar pieces of art fetch $750.00-1500.00 USD at sale! This is perfect for display, or decor. It would also make a great conversation piece, gift, teaching tool, or addition to any collection!
