Arlington Nelson Lindenmuth ran a successful photography studio in Allentown, Pennsylvania in the 1800s. He was born in 1856 and died in 1950. He was one of the earliest professional photographers in the Lehigh Valley, and for many decades he owned and operated a successful photography studio, located on Sixth Street in Allentown, directly across the street from the Lyric Theatre. As early as 1882, he was also employed as a traveling sales representative for Eastman Kodak. He studied painting under Peter Alfred Gross, who was his wife's cousin, and also in Europe.

Lindenmuth's work was known for its high quality and realism. He specialized in portrait photography, but he also produced a number of landscapes and other images of the Lehigh Valley. His work was exhibited in several major exhibitions, including the Philadelphia Centennial Exposition in 1876 and the Pan-American Exposition in 1901.

Lindenmuth was a respected member of the Lehigh Valley community. He was a member of the Allentown Camera Club and the Lehigh Valley Art Association. He also served on the board of directors of the Allentown Art Museum.
