I am offering for sale this Ca 1862-92 Fine User Antique 16\" M. Crannell Wooden Jack Plane Inv#HT31w
This is a fine 16\" wooden jack plane. It is marked M. Crannell Albany on toe. The body, sole are in nice condition for its age just some staining & typical hairlines. The wedge is original and fits tightly. The tote has a few nicks on it. It has a very heavy duty Moulson Brothers Warranted Cast Steel cutter & chip breaker. The cutter measures: 7-1/4\" x 2-1/4\" it has pitting & is rusted, just needs to be cleaned & sharpened. The cutter weighs 15oz. The plane measures: 16\" L x 3\" W. It weighs 4lb 3oz unboxed. It has only been wiped down with Old English. It maintains a great feel and a century old patina.
