Cased West German World War II 1939/1957 Knights Cross to the Iron Cross.
Measures 1 15/16” wide by 1 15/16” tall. The front shows three oak leaves in the center of the maltese cross. The lower arm is dated ‘1939’. The reverse lower arm is dated ‘1813’. Has the oblong suspension loop at the top. Includes the presentation machine embroidered cloth woven cotton red, whiteand black neck ribbon. It measures 8 1/2" wide by 1 7/8” tall. Also includes the black leatherette two-piecepresentation case. Measures 3 1/8” wide by 5 3/4" tall by 1” deep. It has a push button front. The Knights Cross is three-piececonstruction with an iron magnetic center. This was Germany’s highest neck order award during WWII for gallantry in combat action.This is the 1957 reissue decoration. Nicely toned. Scarce. Excellent condition.
