This listing is for a custom, vintage pickaroon on American Hickory. This pickaroon was restored and hung in San Francisco, California by Stunner Blades Customs.

This vintage pickaroon was fully cleaned with natural patina left intact. The pick was ground to a clean point. There is a faded maker’s mark, however, I’m unable to ascertain the maker by symbol. The head has 1/4” pin holes to accept a roll pin for safety.

The helve was hand carved and shaped from straight grain American Hickory. It was sanded octagonal for a clean grip in hand.

The head was hand fit to the helve with zero eye gap and perfectly sound contact at the shoulder. The kerf was wedged with shaped Purple Heart with full compression. The roll pin holes were filled with two, 1/4” diameter, solid brass rods. The rods each extend 1/2” into the head & handle, with hardened epoxy around and between them. The rods were cut flush, hammered and polished, showing unique facets.

This custom pickaroon is one of a kind and fully built to be a functional working pickaroon.

Total length is 24”. Total weight is 2 lbs 9.5 oz.
