General Daniel Edgar Sickles [1819 1914] was an American politician, soldier and diplomat. Sickles was appointed as a Brigadier General at the opening of the American Cilil War and was later promoted to Major General. General Sickles commanded at the Peninsula Campaign, the Seven Days Battle, the Battle of Fredericksburg, and the Battle of Gettysburg. Listed for sale is the autograph of general Daniel Edgar Sickles signed on a card. The autograph is inscribed and signed '' D.E. Sickles Brig Genl U.S.A'' in black fountain pen. The card measures 3.25 x 2.25 inches, it has toning otherwise is in very good condition. The autograph is authentic and is a nice example of this prominent Union Army commander.
