Exceptional c1850s 3pc Victorian Gilt Brass Mantle Luster Prisms Candelabra Set

Presented is a gorgeous set of three antique gilt brass mantle lusters or girandoles, consisting of a central three light candelabra and two single candlestick style lusters. This set dates to around the 1850s-1860s and is of American make, likely a high end maker like Cornelius & Co (see their similar work here: The tops are done in a very ornate design, with richly textured foliate decoration on the “collars” that support the prisms, and classical acanthus leaf scrollwork making up the arms and shafts. The lower portions are done in fluted column form, bolted to sumptuous white marble bases.

This pair of mantle lusters is in excellent overall condition. The lusters are firmly bolted to their marble bases, the bases have only the most minor fleabite nicks here and there, the majority of the prisms are original and any that are slightly different still match quite well. There are no breaks and no repairs. Please note that there are some spots where there are holes to hang prisms but no prisms attached, but it looks like if prisms were hung there the arms would be in the way, so we think this is how they were intended to be.

The larger candelabra style mantle luster stands about 13 3/4 inches tall and measures about 14 1/4 inches across the arms. The two smaller lusters stand about 13 inches tall and measure about 5 inches at the widest point. Please be advised these will be shipped partially disassembled, both to reduce shipping costs and protect the pieces.
