Offered here a pair of fancy spurs that come with matchingconchos and buckles on the spur straps and also included isa matching bridle buckle - all done by Clint Mortenson. These double mounted spurs are wonderfullydecorated withsilver overlay at each end of the heel bands and centered with an expertly detailed face of a Native American in a full feathered headdress. The opposite heel band bears a large, incised silver feather. The shanks are decorated on each side in similar, but not identical, silver and copper overlay plates, each of which has been painstakingly detailed. Mr. Mortensen\'s passion for his craft continued with the nine point handmade rowelsfashioned in the shape of feathers. Large conchosfeaturing theNative American design grace the spur straps. Not stopping there, this set includes a bridle buckle that carries the Native American motif forward.No detail has been overlooked on these spurs, conchos, bucklesand bridle buckle. MAKER: Clint Mortenson (Stamped CLINT 540). A saddle maker and silversmith for many years, his work can be found in many collections. He was featured in an article in theWestern HorsemanAugust 2015 issue.
APPROX AGE: Modern.
SIZE: The heel openingsmeasure3 3/8 inches, the band width measures1 1/4 inches at widest point and the shanks measure3 1/4inches long overall.
CONDITION: Like new, minimal wear and minor imperfections expected. Please look closely at the pictures as they are an important part of our description and are hereby incorporated into the description, specifically with regards to condition.
