This softcover magazine has 51 pages of articles, mostly demonstrating the Communist Party\'s superiority over West Germany, such as:

Lots of photos throughout. At the very back is the \"Science and Technology\" section (8 pages long), with articles on the reduced mortality rate of tuberculosis, a look at the work of Professor Gerhardt Katsch, Sonneberg Observatory, and GDR Society diving clubs (!)
All of this, just months before the erection of the Berlin Wall, to prevent Germans from leaving their socialist paradise.

I have to pause and ask what was the purpose of this magazine? Was it intended for English-speaking West Germans (there\'s a section on some of the latter who emigrated to the GDR to escape conscription)? Or was it for people in the English-speaking world?
Good condition. A previous owner has cut out a questionnaire in the very back, and they\'ve inked numbers next to some of the question topics (see the final pic). Otherwise unmarked, complete and securely bound. Mild wear: a small corner bend on the front cover.
