their original publication source.This is a reproduction of an illustration originally published by John Gould (1804-1881), a taxidermist, ornithologist, bird artist, and author. He published a number of monographs on birds, illustrated by plates that he produced with the assistance of his wife, Elizabeth Gould.Print was originally published in 1849 in A Monogram of the Trochilidae, or Family of Hummingbirds.
An original copy of this print is valued at about $100.This beautiful, full-color, faithful reproduction by the Natural History Museum, London,
