1942 Born in Osaka as the second son of Yasumi Nidai.
1961 Graduated from Osaka City Kogei High School, Department of Metal Craft
1987 Assumed the name of Yasumi III
Selected 37 times for Nitten, Special Prize, Not inspected
4 times as a judge at the Japan Contemporary Craft Exhibition
The Yomiuri Shimbun Award, Member's Memorial Award, Chairman's Award of Contemporary KOGEI
Awarded the Mayor's Prize at the Osaka Craft Exhibition and other awards.
Director of the Ibaraki City Art Exhibition Jury, presented works to the Prince Takamado family.
Awarded by the Governor of Osaka Prefecture twice for distinguished service to crafts.
Professor, Osaka University of Arts, Graduate School of Arts, Department of Crafts
Currently a member of Nitten, a councilor of the Contemporary Craft Artists Association, and a member of the Casting Artists Association.
