Built by Fairfield Shipbuilding & Engineering Co., Glasgow,Scotland for the Anchor-Donaldson Line. Tonnage: 13,475 GT, dimensions:525’x66’. Twin-screw, 15.5 knots, steam turbines, two masts and one funnel.Maiden voyage: Glasgow-Quebec-Montreal. Renamed EMPIRE BRENT in 1946 and CAPTAIN COOK in 1952. Served asemigrant ship to Australia and New Zealand. Sold to British shipbreakers.
