Stunning Late 19th C French Ormolu Mirrored compact in Rare Quatrefoil design featuring Deep Red & Green Guilloche on Both Top & Bottom White Enamel Quatrefoil Center Medallion HandPainted with Detailed Floral Scene Ormolu edges feature a Gorgeous Repousse garland of leaves & raised dots Inside, a Beveled Mirror is framed with Gold Gilt Rope trim Bottom has Hallmark ~ Made in France Enamel in Very Good Condition with some surface scratches on the bottom. No enamel loss on either side. There is a bit of Oxidation to the Mercury around the edge of the Beveled Mirror due to its age This is not unusual for Antique mirrors unlike new mass produced mirrors Strong hinges that close securely. Fully hallmarked. OD Measures: 1.07” x 1.05” x .45” thick 40.4mm x 40mm x 11.4mm ID Measures: 27.5mm diameter mirror 37mm x 37mm compact
