SCARCE MERRILL AMES (WEST GERMANY) MID-20TH CENTURY VINTAGE VEFA EPICURE ENAMEL \'LOLLIPOP\' DESIGN, LARGE 8\" DIAMETER, AVOCADO GREEN with NEON GREEN & TURQUOISE BLUE GRAPHIC ICONOGRAPHY UPPER CIRCUMNAVIGATING BAND, ENAMEL SERVING/MIXING STEEL BOWL[Found in a post-WWII, mid-century, architect designed home in Bedford, NH, southeast of Manchester, NH. This now fairly scarce, mid-20th century enamel bowl designed by West German Merrill Ames, is highly desirable and sought after. At 8\" in diameter, it serves equally well as both a serving bowl for the presentation of artisan salads dressed with tangerine spears and walnuts, blue corn chips or used as a mixing bowl in the kitchen for whipping up pancake and waffle mix. It has only some very slight, small minimal flea-bites along its upper edge, evidence of its vintage pedigree and being previously used. There are also a few scuffs & an instance of white paint, that being a drop near its rim and a tiny one on its side, no doubt from a ceiling overhead being redressed with white paint. The bowl still has its original glossy, highly reflective, baked enamel finish & has no significant, noticeable damage to its exterior shell or interior basin. A really lovely mid-century enamel bowl & Modernist artifact.It was never run through a dishwasher, since the soap & high heat would\'ve scoured its finish. Very handsome.
