Extremely Rare marked 1983 Courtly Check Gilded tray/plate.This is a stunning collectable McKenzie Childs piece!1983 was the inaugural year for McKenzie Childs.
This piece is from their FIRST collection ALSO the FIRST of the Famous CourtlyCheck pattern40 years ago!Courtly Check in WOOD with Gilt Gold very special!!!
14" in diameter & approximately 7/8 " high
Beautiful to display. Beautiful to use with a clear plate over it.
Please note the large dark spots on the lovely antique craquelure gilding are my shadows when taking the photos. The tiny black spots are a natural part of the gilding process. The gilding is deep gold going to lighter. When examining it for this listing ( full disclosure) I see one flaw thatmay have been there since it was new. I have not noticed it before. I had to search for it. Please see upper right of last photo where the gilding meets the white check there is a slight indentation. Obviously since it was not noticeableI do not think it is a factor in such a rare piece
