This “artist proof” was made in preparation for Jimmy Steinfeldt’s book “Rock and Roll Lens.”

The wear on this print represents 30 or more years of storage and movement from one of Jimmy’s 5 photography studios to the other during his legendary career. The wear also shows that this is truly a vintage print and printed very near the time the photo was taken.

Jimmy Steinfeldt is a veteran Rock and Roll photographer and has photographed many music icons. His photos have appeared in many publications, including Rolling Stone, The Los Angeles Times, Spin, and Time. Numerous artists have used his work for the packaging and promotion of their recordings as well.

His photos have been exhibited at The Annenberg Space for Photography, and other galleries.

He has been appointed an ambassador for Leica Cameras, and is a featured contributor to The Hollywood Times.

Jimmy’s Elusive Studios, in the canyons of Hollywood, was his base of operations for decades, and became a haven for music, film, and television artists. Jimmy continues to travel, photograph Rock and Roll, and whatever captures his eye.
