Eusphenopterids was a seed ferns. It were characterized by round-lobed leaflets exhibiting conspicuous stalk-like attachments to the main stem. The lower basal leaflets are usually more lobate and well-developed. The leaflets of Eusphenopteris never have toothed margins.
