ARTIST PROOF The 31st Fighter Group transferred to the 15th Air Force in April 1944. Re-equipped with P-51 Mustangs, they flew fighter escort duties from bases in Italy, and were heavily engaged in the Allies final offensive in Northern Italy. The 31st Fighter Group served in Europe longer than any other during World War 2. THE SIGNATURESThe print is signed by Four Fighter Aces who flew Mustangs with the 15th Air Force.
