N552 ANTIQUE FRENCH JAPY FRERES 8 DAY WHITE MARBLE CLOCK GARNITURE URN SET DescriptionA lovely antique late 19th century French white marble cased clock garniture.
The case is modeled with a gilt brass or bronze figure of a Bacchanalian putti. The clock is complete with two matching decorative white marble urns.The clock benefits from a white enamel dial with black painted numerals and fancy brass hands. The dial is behind ornate bezel door with beveled glass.The clock contains a French Japy Freres 8 day brass pendulum driven movement that strikes upon a bell fully on the hour and singularly on the half.The clock is complete with pendulum, bell and key.The clock is in working order and holds good time. Please note I have not had the clock movement serviced.This clock will require setting up after transit and may require adjustments to have the clock in working order. One of the side urns has a small chip to the bottom corner of the marble base.
Small faults to enamel dial at top rim and 8 O clock.
Minor nibbles to marble in places.
Age commensurate wear.
