IEC-843 Sync Generator Encoderby Link Electronics
Has a pink sticker on front that reads "ARTIFACT RECIPIENT"A green sticker with "TRANSFER TO STATION"- Also a "Reviewed. no sanitation required Date 1/3/22" sticker
(this shows it has no hard drive or has been cleaned from all sensitive data )
A standard NASA inventory tag is affixed to the top as well.
This item is one of 3 units I personally bought andretrievedmyself from Johnson Space Center in Houston Texas. I do not know if this item was actually an artifact or know any of it's background or history. I do know that these stickers are rare to find on surplus NASA hardware, and my educated guess is that this was an item from the Shuttle program to be re-used on the ISS, but never made it, and was tagged for the artifact program through GSA for non-profit govt entities to borrow.
