An Amazing Classic
Navajo 1930s Sterling Silver Ingot Split Band Ball Dot Royston Turquoise Ring Size 7 EC. Ring weighs 5 grams and measures 15mm by 12 mm at the face. Band tapers to 3mm at back and forth wearing comfort. Multi color cabochon stone. Gorgeous old Royston turquoise on a classic native southwest design. The split shank or band with ball dots was standard practice, as was bezel with roping. The ring bands were nice and thick. But the focus was on the turquoise as that was their indigenous material. On the inside of the ring you can see where the silver was cut off the bar or sheet ingot. The outside of the ring was finished, the inside not as much. What else to say? Just beautiful workmanship from the past.
