The SS Panzer Korps, with the 1., 2. and 3.SS Panzer-Grenadier-Divisions, the Grossdeutchland Pazergrenadier Division and the 503 Heavy Tank Battalion all fought in this sector. The book includes hundreds of photos, most previously unpublished or miscaptioned in the past by less careful authors, which tell the story of this crucial German gamble in the summer of 1943.
