What an Estate Find in the SF Bay Area. This lot of Skookum Dolls, also known as Bully Good Dolls are comprised of an amazing collection. The gentleman who sold them to me, stated that one Doll in particular was designed by a very renowned Doll maker by the name of Mary Frances Woods (1920's to 1930's). He stated that he believed it was the "old lady" Doll who is standing next to the tall chief Indian. I am simply passing on information that the Estate Seller stated, but I personally don't guarantee anything. After scrutinizing all these wonderful skookum Dolls, I do have a strong feeling that he is correct about that "old lady" Doll. She seems to have a special and richer quality to her craftmanship. Please look at all the photos closely. The tall Chief Doll needs to have his face gently cleaned of some mold residue that has formed. I must leave that up to the Buyer to do, as I am not an expert with the actual cleaning process. Several of the girl dolls are wearing a wig that actually comes off. Thank you for looking
