This amazing view is a rare one-of-a-kind view from Jesse James left side. The known photographer to have taken the James photo in postmortem was Robert Uhlman of St. Joseph Mo. in 1882. This image is the ONLY ONE known from this left-side vantage point. Uhlman is known for other views of Jesse James in death. My guess is, the family did not approve of it, because the darkened temple area is where he bled out. Another possibility is the glass negative was broken and Uhlman only made the one copy. The mortician, William Sindenfaden did an excellent job dressing the wound, but the darkened area is still visible. The provenance is the photographer, the CDV medium used and the location of Missouri, the state Jesse was killed in. The 1880's timeline fits Uhlman's other known images. This image could bring many times my listing price. This is not one of those greedy and false non-sense listings that think they have gold when they have nothing real. This is REAL and is being sold specifically to help me publish a book I am involved with. This photo will appear in that book and is NOT subject to any form of compensation.
