Pre-WWI M1910 Canteen Cup, UNMARKED. + Prior to WWI the Aluminum M1910 Canteen Cups were completely unmarked. These were issued to both the Army, the USMC and all of the services. Only is 1918 were contractors required to stamp the "U.S." surcharge, the manufacturer's initials, and year of production on either the bottom of the Cup or on the 'German silver' Folding Handle. + EXCELLENT "Combat Serviceable" condition with only the slightest oxidation/pitting on the Aluminum.
+ Very well-made, most likely by Landers, Frary & Clark (L.F. & C.) with the round-head rivets finished FLUSH on the inside of the cup, so as to NOT rub against the Canteen when slid inside.+ Although this is NOT the earliest M1910 Cup (which was "spun"), but this "round lip" example dates from 1916 or earlier. It may also have been reissued during the Second World War as well. + ZERO significant dents, but mild scattered pitting of aluminum oxide to the Body of the aluminum Cup.
