From their early 1920s line, Rosecraft, this vase in Burnt Orange was a color Roseville added to the line in 1923.Dimensions: 5-1/2\" X 5-1/2\" X 4\"
Condition: EXCELLENT antique used shape+++++Rosecraft was an early Roseville line that they released in 1921. Rosecraft went through several evolutions which has made the line confusing at times. It\'s one of Roseville\'s only solid color patterns so its easy for pieces to be considered not Roseville, as I did with this piece for some time. The addition of having the older ink mark that is less recognizable, especially when smudged like this one, makes it even more difficult to initially identify.Rosecraft was an extensive line with primary colors being solid colors such as blue, black and yellow. Azurine was a lustre blue that they added just prior to Burnt Orange. Burnt Orange was added in 1923 and it is an orange glaze with an olive green ombre blend that begins at the top and extends about 20% down the piece. Of the Rosecraft colors, it is probably the color found the most, indicating a popular choice at the time.Roseville Rosecraft Burnt Orange Vase measures 5-1/2\" X 5-1/2\" X 4\". It is in EXCELLENT antique used shape with no chips, cracks, or crazing to identify. I personally like the simpler Roseville pieces so this one is right in my wheelhouse. If space and money were in infinite supply, this would be a keeper. So I\'ll enjoy it until someone decides they want it.
