Maker: This exceptionally beautiful gold and white lunch plate is by England\'s iconic maker Coalport.
Age: On the reverse is a Coalport mark that was in use from 1891 to 1920. Source:the potteries.org.The mark of Davis Collamore, a high-end New York retailer of fine porcelain and crystal at the turn of the last century, also appears. It includes the address \"Fifth Ave & 37th Street\". The store left that location in 1911, making that the latest this plate would have been produced.
Design: The fine quality gold encrusted plate is richly decorated with a gold gadroon edge and intricate raised gold urns, flowers and scrollwork around a pure white center.It\'s Coalport\'s pattern number X2966.
Size: The plate is 9 inches wide and weighs 13.2 ounces.
Condition: It\'s in excellent condition with no marks, nicks, chips, cracks, repairs, stains or wear. There are many tiny and faint utensil marks that can be seen in bright light and the underside rim has darkened somewhat - that\'s shown in the photos.
