This listing is for a New Safetran Train Railroad Crossing Gate Arm Red Safety Warning Light. While it is new, there are minor scuffs and scratches in the lens from storage and handling. I tried my best to show these in the pictures, but they do not show up unless the lens is angled just right toward a light. Please note the back lens has more of these issues than the front lens.
The height of the assembly is 10 1/2" and the Stimsonite #781H Lens is 7 " in diameter. The GE bulb is 10 volts, 25 watts.As you can see in the pictures, the light worked after it was connect to a 9-volt lantern battery. All the internals appear to be in excellent condition. It also comes with its original mounting hardware.
The Safetran Systems Corporation was an American Company that manufactured switch machines, railroad wayside signal systems, rail transit signaling, and rail highway level crossing active warning systems. Safetran was purchased by Siemens in 2013.
