Cross and the Switchblade was published in 1972 by Spire Christian Comics, the same publisher who issued Hansi, the Girl Who Loved the Swastika and other comics based on the lives of famous Christians. The cover and inside art is by veteran comic book illustrator Al Hartley. Rarely seen in the gorgeous grade offered here, this Near Mint 9.4 is one of just 3 in grade and only a single example has ever certified higher. Published by Spire. 35 cent edition. One of the first Spire Christian Comics (along with Gods Smuggler), and based on Rev. David Wilkersons best-seller about his years working with New Yorks street gangs. Story adaptation, art and cover by Al Hartley..
