This is a stunning antique Parashu (the Sanskrit word for Ritual Axe), anobject of Buddhist ritual, serving, according to Tibetan iconography and the texts of rituals, to cut the three root bonds of ignorance, desire and hatred, which retain the beings attached to Samsara, the cycle of reincarnations. This is an intricately detailed and engraved bronze and iron blade, handle and Vajras, and measures 13.5" in length and 6-1/4" in width. Please see the photos provided for your review.
