Two recently dug whiskey flasks from Houston, Texas. One stands approx. 6 3/4 inches high and is embossed C.B. WILLIAMS / COMMERCIAL SALOON / HOUSTON, TEX. The other one stands approx 6 inches high and is embossed J.A. MILLER\'S / NELSON COUNTY / HOUSTON, TEX. CONDITION: Both need to be cleaned. The Commercial Saloon flask has a bruise on the backside lip. I have tried my best to photograph this. The bruise is on the outside of the lip. The inside of the lip is smooth and since the bruise is on the backside of the bottle, it should display fine. The Nelson County flask has a few small chips/nibbles towards the top of the lip. My theory is over a hundred years ago, a cowboy downed the contents of the Commercial Saloon flask, and having finished it, he unceremoniously tossed it out into the dusty, dirt streets of Houston, whereby it hit a small stone or rock which gave it it\'s unique flaw...anyway....these flasks would look great in your display room, next to an old gun, holster or saddle! Texas marked whiskey flasks are hard to find...but those marked \"SALOON\" are extremely hard to find.
