UNUSED VTG 1928 MILTON BRADLEY XMAS POSTERS, CHRISTMAS GRAPHICS DESIGNS CRAFTS:
$90.00

This listing is for what i THINK is a complete set of the Milton Bradley Christmas Posters, copyright 1928. There are 12 pages (numbered), with some pieces that have been slightly cut out, but seem to be all present, and all unused (see photos of each page). Only one design has one tiny bit of added color - the harness on one tiny reindeer is bright yellow; everything else is all unused. The patterns are great for creating appliques from cloth and paper. The designs are meant to be traced by segment, then cut from colored paper and glued into place in layers to form the design. OR it can be traced and painted like a paint by number, or just colored for fun. The designs are meant to be duplicated, so copy away! There are large designs for large posters, and smaller designs for all kinds of things. I always thought the smaller designs would be good appliques for quilts. There is even a really charming Christmas wreath. There are LOTS of Santas, all the great 1920's versions. The illustrator designer was Louise Tessin. The box is ok - the front graphic shows the Santa from sheet number 1. The corners are split and the box is a bit flattened. There are 12 pages - I don't know if this is complete, but it sure looks complete, and even has it's instruction booklet. I have lots of great vintage craft and Christmas items for sale, so take a look. This set has NO bad smells; the pages are lightly creased, as they came from the manufacturer - folded in the box. The paper the set is printed on is a nice heavy cream colored paper that is probably fairly acid free (lots of rag in the paper) as it hasn't browned or deteriorated. JONESANTIQUES! JONESANTIQUES!

Description This listing is for what i THINK is a complete set of the Milton Bradley Christmas Posters, copyright 1928. There are 12 pages (numbered 1 through 12), with some pieces that have been slightly cut out from several of the pages, but seem to be all present, and all unused (see photos of each page). Only one design has one tiny bit of added color - the harness on one tiny reindeer is bright yellow; everything else is all unused with no paint or color having been added. The patterns are great for creating appliques from cloth and paper; the designs would be charming on a Christmas tree skirt or tablecloth . The designs are meant to be traced by segment, then cut from colored paper and glued into place in layers to form the design, but it would work with fabric as well. . OR the designs can be traced and painted like a paint by number, or just colored for fun. The designs are meant to be duplicated (according to the instructions in picture 2), so copy away! There are large designs for large posters, and smaller designs for all kinds of things.  The smaller pieces would be fun to replicate for a border.  I always thought the smaller designs would be good appliques for quilts. There is even a really charming Christmas wreath that would be fun to create from felt, and then add real ornaments. There are LOTS of Santas, all the great 1920's versions. The illustrator designer was Louise Tessin (1894 to 1962). The box is ok - the front graphic shows the Santa from sheet number 1. The corners are split and the box is a bit flattened. I will make sure it's sturdy and the item well packaged. I will ensure your item will arrive in good condition, but the box may not be pretty (or it might be - I have to buy boxes, as well). All shipping within the US is free to you. All my packages are tracked, but if for some reason you don't receive your item or it arrives broken, I will refund your money.
