    Painted boxes, which are also called lacquer miniatures, are very popular in the world. The most popular of them is

 boxes are made in the style of Fedoskino, Palekh, Kholuy and Mstora. They are also known as Russian boxes. Although this does not always mean that they are made only there. Ukraine also has many artists who paint in such styles at a high level. I offer to your attention a box made in Ukraine and style.

 In the picture drawn on the box, the artist drew two girls who are probably sisters, young Ukrainian women, dressed in traditional Ukrainian clothes, embroidered shirts and skirts.  Their faces are very cute, they sit hugging against the background of green nature.

   The casket is made of papier-mâché and has an oval shape. It has 4 legs at the bottom.

   The drawing is made in the Fedoskino technique, one of the styles of lacquer miniatures, very thin and professional, the composition is thought out to the smallest detail, the drawing and sides are framed with a thin gold ornament. The inside of the box is decorated with red velvet. At the final stage, the box is completely polished to a mirror shine.

     This box was made in 2023 in Ukraine.

The box will be a great gift for a collector, a loved one, or just as a keepsake.
