This is a an exceptional Van Ryper waterline steamship wooden model from the 1930's to 1950's of the R.M.S. Cunard Mauretania in Cruising white.
The model is in its' cruising white livery in which it was originally painted in 1933 through to 1934. The lower side has the thin green line. The model is all intact but does have a loose cowling on the port side monkey bridge. I have it separate and it will be shipped with the model.
It sits on its' original wooden base which is stamped "Van Ryper Vinyard Haven-Mass".
The model itself if 12 inches long and the total base length is 15 inches. The base width is 3.25 inches.
Rare to find these in cruising white.
