NEW YORK, USAIT IS PERSONALLY ENGRAVED ON THE BACK,
MEASURES 3" IN DIAMETER,
IT IS 7/32" or 5.5mm THICK,
TOTAL WEIGHT OF 190.0 GRAMS OR
6.110 TROY OUNCESIt is personally engraved on the back to the original award recipient, otherwise, it shows normal wear due to circulation, use and handling over the years, including surface scuff marks, scratches, and light verdigris and tarnish. It is straight, not bent out of shape, has nice shine, and is very clean, with no major issues at all. No box, no paperwork, no original accessories are included.
Obverse is designed in the original, old style Brooklyn College school seal and is fully engraved on the back reading COMPLIMENTS OF J.R. WOOD & SONS INC. MANUFACTURERS OF FINE JEWELRY SINCE 1850, BROOKLYN, N.Y., EDNA R. LEMMON. Upon research of this recipient, she was a music director and tutor at this school. The maker of this medal, J.R. Wood & Sons Inc., is well known for their fine wedding bands and finger rings, and is originally known for their popular ArtCarved brand of fine rings.
