Vintage Bilston and Battersea Enamel. Lot #243. Mini enamel trinket box with two orange tabby cats. Appears to be a cat and kitten. Trinket box is round. Handcrafted by a premier quality manufacturer. Top enameled lid has two orange tabby cats. Bottom of enamel has “Bilston and Battersea Enamels “, “Made in England”, Designed by Halcyon Days”, “London”. Lettering is surrounded by the “Leafed Crest” trademark. Porcelain is in very nice shape. There are no chips or cracks. Enameling is detailed and pristine. Trinket box rim interior show what appears to be residual from installation of the gold tone rim piece. I can’t tell if this is dirt or adhesive used in the rims manufacture. I don’t see or feel cracks, chips or blemishes, or any damage. The enamel and the detail of the cats is very good. Any small imperfections are from the manufacturing process. There does not appear to be any blemishes or imperfections due to damage by use or handling. The enameling is very nice. The interior enamel is an off-white. The item is being sold as used with wear, but if it has been used, it was very little. The piece is a very petite, high quality enamel in extremely nice condition. Might need cleaning? Top is approximately 7/8 inch diameter. Base is approximately 13/16 inch diameter. Inside opening of base is approximately 3/4 of an inch diameter . Top alone height is @1/4”. Base alone height is @7/16”. When together total height is @5/8”. Weight is 11.45 grams. Sold as is and as found. Please look at pictures. Ask any questions. Items are separated and carefully packed in a USPS small box to prevent damage through transport. Item is shipped USPS priority mail, small box, with insurance and tracking. Thank you.
