Vintage IE&C Co Japan Hand Painted Porcelain Dresser Box Cobalt Blue Pink Roses:

Lovely vintage hand-painted porcelain dresser box. Piece is approx. 6" long, 2.5" wide, 2" high, decorated with hand-painted roses in shades of pink, and trimmed in cobalt blue and gold. Box was made by the IE&C Co in Japan between 1921-1941, and is in excellent vintage condition with no cracks or crazing. It does show worn spots to the glaze on the inside rim & lid consistent with the age of the item. It also has a small chip on the base at the backstamp, and the lid was slightly warped in the firing process and doesn't sit firmly on the base (see photos).
