Vintage Spencer Buffalo stereoscopic microscope with original wood baseIt is a binocular scope which Includes 4 additional lenses.Spencer Lens was founded in 1895 in Buffalo NY and retained the Spencer name until it was changed to American Optical Scientific Instrument Division in 1945.This microscope was made between 1933 and 1934 based on serial number.It is binocular stereo-zoom incident light scope...also call dissecting microscope.It is often used to study the surfaces of solid specimens or to carry close work as dissection, microsurgery, watch makingcircuit board manufacture or inspection and fractography and forensic engineering.Size: microscope height to top of lens 11 3/4 inch; base width 5 1/3 inch; base from front to back 6 3/4 inchSize: box 12 3/4 inch height; 9 3/4 inch depth; 7 3/4 inch widthPre owned and very good condition. Does show some wear, discoloration on wood and scratches due to age and usage.There is no key for front lock, but there is a swing latch on side to secure door.
