This is a beautiful vintage Wednesday’s Angel girl holding a gold book that says “Inner Knowledge” inside, along with two little gold hearts. Her little gray cat is laying underneath her skirt. On the other side of the base are four perfect gold stars. This angel was made in California in the 1950’s by Robyn Sikking. Robyn was the lady who started it all with these beautiful ceramic angels in the 40’s and 50’s. Napco, Lefton, Blume, and many other companies started making their own versions of her designs in Japan. When her figurines became so quickly copied by the Japanese companies, she switched to making little squirrels and other woodland animals before retiring her ceramics business. Her halo was broken, but has been replaced with a beautiful gold crown with three clear rhinestones. There has been a repair to the underside of the book at the corner. It’s not the best repair, but you really can’t see it when on display. Please see photos. She is about 3” tall. She’s really sweet and precious.
