There are many “grail” LJN figures out there including the Ultimate Warrior, Brett Hart, Bearded Corporal Kirchner etc. But it is very, very unlikely that you will ever find a Corporal Kirchner (no beard) still sealed in the original JC Penney plastic. This was ordered from JC Penney’s catalog and sealed in a tote for over 35 years. It comes from a non smoking, no pet home. It was stored in a dry climate and hasn’t seen the sun. Now for the disclaimers. LJN collectors (including myself) are a bit fanatical. I have run into unrealistic buyers before. I was told that the bag from J.C. Penney’s mail order is factory sealed and never been opened. I believe this statement, but can’t definitely substantiate that claim. I do believe it to be true. I wouldlove to say that this is a brand new, mint MOC, GEM but I am not going to say that either. I have had people argue about manufacturer defects and what the term “mint” means. The truth is nothing is 100% mint, especially in regards to these characters.
